Piranha

Piranhas are freshwater fish native to South American rivers and basins, particularly the Amazon, Orinoco, and Paraná rivers. They thrive in warm, slow-moving waters such as rivers, floodplains, lakes, and reservoirs. These habitats typically feature dense vegetation and submerged roots, providing ample cover for hunting and protection.

Piranhas prefer water temperatures ranging from 75 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit (24 to 28 degrees Celsius) and slightly acidic to neutral pH levels. Water clarity can vary from clear to murky, but they are highly adaptable to different water conditions within their natural environment. Their habitat supports a diverse aquatic ecosystem, which is crucial for their omnivorous diet consisting of fish, insects, plants, and occasionally small animals.
